Mrs. Ellamay Richards
Women's President

Ellamay Richards serves as the Women’s President at Shield of Faith Ministry.

Ellamay’s goal is to implement the Vision Statement at Shield of Faith – to build and encourage a family-centered church that demonstrates the love of Jesus Christ to everyone. Her philosophy is “as long as one family member is saved, the whole family should be saved also”.

Before taking on this position, Ellamay was active in her church community, organizing banquets, walk-a-thons, tea parties and various church engagement events.

Ellamay worked in the healthcare system as a personal support worker and a medical phlebotomist. She now manages a busy medical practice and is looking forward to studying at Canada Christian College.

Ordeyne Williams-Simms is the music director for Shield of faith. She leads the praise and worship team in our Sunday morning service and all special events.

Ordeyne has won many singing awards as well as instrumental.
She is energetic, friendly and strive to achieve the ministry mission and vision with her music.

Cheavion Martin has served in Children’s Ministry for a number of years including volunteering at Vacation Bible School, Christian overnight camps and Sunday schools over the last year 5 years. Cheavion grew up in Catholic School and as a young teen began attending evangelical church with her Mother and siblings. Cheavion eventually accepted Christ into her heart as a young teen and participated in ministry. She sang on the youth choir, participated in regional competitions, attended camps, Winterfests and attended children and youth ministry events regularly. Building relationships with friends who believed and walked on the same path had always been important to her. Having down-to -earth, relatable mentors played a key role in her life that allowed her to hold on to her faith throughout difficult times in her life and push her to learn God for herself outside of her family’s influence.

As a young adult, Cheavion began and led small group bible studies, Women’s book clubs and hosted young adult events. She became extremely involved in missions and has travelled to Guyana with Seeds International and to El Salvador with King’s Castle Ministries for Christian education for children within impoverished communities.

Cheavion’s passion for children’s ministry is rooted in her fond memories of growing up in church and finding her foundation in Christ through children’s ministries. Cheavion is now a Children’s ministry leader at Shield of Faith and continues to lead and grow in Christ.

Elaine
Technical and Operational Director

Elaine is the Technical and Operational director at Shield of Faith. She manages equipment, sound and media every Sunday both online and on-site. Elaine is also the Transportation Ministry Manager assisting in maintaining, operating and providing transportation to both local and international special events.

Elaine grew up in a large family with Christian roots and found Christ for herself through volunteering and attending Christian events in her late adult life. She has management and operations experience of nearly 20 years and has been working within the healthcare sector for nearly 17 years.

She enjoys organizing and creating new and innovative ways to improve church services through technology and efficient setup. Elaine’s down to earth, relatable and social spirit provides a warm and inviting presence when participating in some of her favorite groups including Ladies meetings and Bible Studies.

Keira is involved in a few areas in Shield of Faith. She is one of the praise and worshiper on a Sunday morning and in special events. She plays the drum and the keyboard. Her talents behind the scene includes presentation creation and coordinating media projects. On site, Keira is part of the equipment management team. From instruments and mics, to the computer and projector.

Keira loves God and participates in a number of ministry activities including Women’s ministry, evangelism, missions and the hospitality department. Besides behind the scene work, Keira is a part of the Shield of Faith Youth Group. She enjoys playing games, praise and worship, Bible Studies and competitive bible quizzing. Keira has attended a number of youth events including church camp, international conventions and Youth Talent and continues to expand and elevate her resume for Christ. She has won a trophy for her talent as a drummer.
